For the determination of glass thicknesses we use the contactless chromatic confocal measuring method which allows for accuracies in the µm range even in difficult ambient conditions.

Shielding the probes with adapted cooled housings permit measurement at the hot end, i.e. before the glass passes through a lehr, which drastically reduces the time needed to adjust the glass thickness and detect production errors.
